Silica Gel is a porous, synthetically manufactured desiccant. The interconnected pores form a vast surface area that attract and retain water. Silica Gel is available in Indicating and non-Indicating products. Indicating Silica Gel starts changing colour once the desiccant has absorbed in excess of 8% moisture.
